Most people think exercising is the key to weight loss, but this is far from the truth. If you want to lose weight, you need to start eating healthy food and exercise to get in shape. 

To have good health and a good body, you need to combine exercise and eating the right food; in this post, I share my top 10 foods for health.

I used to eat a lot of junky food, but with time I started eating clean, and here is my top 10 food for health.

  1. Broccoli

I started eating broccoli because of my girlfriend. She was born in Asia, and their family always ate broccoli, so when we started living together, she forced(kindly) me to eat it too.

Like other non-starchy vegetables, broccoli is beneficial for weight management because it is low in calories and rich in fiber

  1. Avocado 

I like avocados, and when I was back home, I used to eat them daily. Avocados are associated with a diet high in fiber and have been associated with body weight maintenance. 

  1. Eggs

Eggs are superfoods; do not let anyone convince you otherwise. Try eating at least two eggs daily, and your life will change.

I like eating boiled eggs; they make me feel full and provide all the nutrients my body needs.

Eating eggs leads to elevated high-density lipoprotein (HDL), or “good” cholesterol

People who have higher HDL levels have a lower risk of heart disease, stroke, and other health issues. 

According to one study, eating two eggs daily for six weeks increased HDL levels by 10%.

  1. Blueberries

I love blueberries; they taste great, but also they have a lot of health benefits. Blueberries are thought to help with memory and motor skills. The blueberry has hence been dubbed the ‘brain berry.’ 

  1. Turmeric 

I started consuming turmeric as a grown-up but have grown to like them.

According to a study conducted at Tufts University, curcumin can suppress fat tissue growth. Turmeric also helps people lose weight by regulating sugar levels and further preventing insulin resistance.

So, if you want to lose weight or have type 2 diabetes, you should include turmeric in your diet.

I include beans in this list because I like eating them; I consider them healthy, especially if you do not add too much oil.

Beans are high in protein and fiber, which help keep you full and help promote weight loss.

I like eating pumpkins, as they support weight loss and give you a sense of being full.

 Nutritionally, pumpkins are rich and devoid of cholesterol, sodium, and fats. This is what makes pumpkins ideal for including in your weight loss diets. 

  1. Carrots

I like carrots. They are good for weight loss due to their low-calorie content, high fiber content, and various essential micronutrients.

Also, you can never over-eat them as they help to create a feeling of fullness.

They support digestion and contribute to a calorie deficit necessary for weight loss.

  1. Fish 

I like eating fish. Fish and avocado are the only foods I can eat daily without complaining.

Fish has many health benefits. The protein in fish can also assist in building good muscle mass, which helps you burn more calories at rest and contributes to weight loss.

Some varieties of fish also have a good amount of healthy fats, promoting satiety or fullness.

Having been born in the Mbeya region in Tanzania, drinking organic cow milk was one of the pleasures of life. I have been drinking this milk for my whole life.
